Active Bystander Programme

Do you want to work in a great culture, where everyone feels they belong, feels safe to contribute their best and be heard?

Do you want to be part of a movement for change where we all support a compassionate, civil and respectful working culture?

We are looking for passionate people who share our vision to create a community of Active Bystanders to confidently intervene at an early stage preventing harmful behaviours from escalating in our workplaces.

If you would like to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to do this in your workplace read our role description, speak to your line manager,  and contact us for more information or book straight on to our available training dates.

What’s on offer?

A face to face and virtual programme that covers everything you need to know to be an Active Bystander so that you can help others by intervening to stop harmful behaviours from escalating when it is safe to do so.

A face to face day workshop helping you to:

  • Understand the Drivers of Inappropriate Behaviour
  • Identify inappropriate & unacceptable behaviours
  • Understand why good people behave badly
  • Understand why good people not intervene when they see good people behaving badly
  • Understand the role of an Active Bystander

This will be followed by a half day face to face role play session to practice your skills and Intervention Strategies for Active Bystanders.

Your Active Bystander journey will be supported with a workbook for further self directed learning and monthly action learning sets for six months with your cohort of  12- 20 people.

Underpinning everything, you will be supported in your role by your organisation’s Active Bystander internal sponsor, and you can be signposted to further support as required.

We are really looking forward to hearing from you and to starting our #LLRBeAChangeMaker #LLRActiveBystander journey together!
