- Develop key skills for communicating effectively with autistic adults
- Develop enhanced awareness of autism specific issues in assessment and appropriate adaptations in the context of Care Act
- Develop an Increased understanding of eligibility decision making for autistic adults
- Develop advanced skills in person-centred care and support planning and reviews with autistic clients:
- Develop enhanced awareness of autism specific issues in capacity assessment and best interests decision making in the context of the Mental Capacity Act
- Develop enhanced awareness of autism specific issues in safeguarding including issues around sex
- Increase skills in managing risk with autistic clients: reflecting on neurotypical assumptions in decision making
- Know what other materials can be accessed and where, to find out more information for own professional development
