AIMS and OBJECTIVES:- To consider what dementia is and the impact that it has on the person living with dementia and their families.
- To consider the role and responsibilities individuals working in different sectors have in supporting people to live well with dementia.
- To introduce learners to the development of dementia care, moving from the medical model to person centred care culminating in awareness of the National policy and Key aspirations.
Staff must have completed the on line Dementia training to attend Cat B.
