Safeguarding Training The Trainer 2 Days
This course will provide you with the skills and resources that you will need to deliver ‘Safeguarding Adults Training’ within your own organisation.
The training will include what staff needs to know to be able to report any concerns, allegations or disclosures of abuse and to recognise signs and indicators that an ‘adult at risk’ may be experiencing or is at risk of being abused.
The training prepares you to be able to train the Safeguarding competencies 1-6 set that are set out in the ‘Leicester Leicestershire & Rutland Safeguarding Adults Board’ Local Policies and Procedures and it is a requirement that all staff and volunteers meet these competencies within an organisation.
Aims and Objectives: Following attending the course, participants should be able to:
- Identify, discuss and explore the basic competencies of Safeguarding Adults
- Consider the skills and values necessary to deliver effective training
- Use a standardised set of resources to deliver a basic Safeguarding Adults course within their own organisation
- Know how best to assess and record staffs competencies in relation to Safeguarding Adults
- Target Group: For managers, supervisors, and other staff members in, registered and non-registered settings with the responsibility of delivering training, or with the ability and capacity to begin delivering training.
