Safeguarding Training The Trainer 2 Day Course
Please note this is not a generic safeguarding course.
On day 2 of the course, you will be required to deliver a section of the course back to the delegates and will be provided feedback from the trainers, which in the past has not been made clear to delegates when booking on this course.
If you have any concerns about this then please get in touch with either nazir.hussein@leics.gov.uk or heidi.clarke@leics.gov.uk
Audience - Managers, supervisors or other staff members in registered and non-registered settings with a responsibility of delivering training, or with the ability and capacity to begin delivering training.
Aims and Objectives: Following attending the course, participants should be able to:
Identify, discuss and explore the basic competencies of Safeguarding Adults
Consider the skills and values necessary to deliver effective training
Use a standardised set of resources to deliver a basic Safeguarding Adults course within their own organisation
Please be aware that we discuss abuse to children, if at any time you need to take a break please do so and let one of the facilitators know that you are taking some time out.
How to do this will be discussed at the beginning of the course.
If you feel that you would like to talk to someone if the training has impacted on you, the trainers will be available at the end of the training or you can speak to your manager.
You will be able to book a place on the training once you have read the pre-reading materials.
The information in the reading materials will support the information discussed in the training.
Following attendance of the training you will have access to the presentations and group activities.
The folder contains all the information and resources you need to deliver Safeguarding Training.
We recommend you download the file and save to your preferred device.
